Liquid Based Cytology (LBC) is a new technique for collecting cytological samples in order to detect the presence of precancerous or cancerous cells on your cervix- which is the opening of the uterus. A small brush is used to collect the cells. Cells from LBC remain on the head of the brush which gets broken off and placed into a small pot of liquid that goes to a lab. Liquid-based cervical cytology was developed to improve the diagnostic reliability of Papanicolaou (Pap) smears- Which is the conventional PAP Smear. *The test will be performed by a Female Doctor*
